Privacy policy

1. What we collect

Our calculators and affordability check work from the figures you type in and do not need your contact details. We only collect personal information when you choose to give it to us — for example when you request a checklist, report or guide by email, join an early-access list, or contact us. Depending on the form, this may include your name, email address or WhatsApp number, and details you choose to add such as your buying stage, income range, bond amount or a message.

Our tools for AI assistants and our API ask for no personal information. The figures sent to them, such as an income or a purchase price, are used only to compute the response and are not stored; we keep only a record of which tool was used, the type of assistant and how long it took.

2. How we use it

We use your information to send you what you asked for, to reply to your questions, and to improve our guides and tools. We do not submit home loan applications on your behalf, and we do not sell your information to third parties.

3. Who we share it with

We do not pass your information to banks, bond originators or call centres. We share it only with service providers who help us run the site (for example, secure cloud hosting and database services), who are bound by confidentiality and POPIA obligations.

4. Security

We encrypt data in transit and at rest, use access controls, and regularly review our security practices. We never store your banking passwords or one-time PINs.

5. Your rights

Under POPIA you have the right to access, correct, delete, and object to the processing of your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@bond.co.za.

6. Cookies and analytics

We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. These tools may set cookies on your device. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.
