Rates, fees and thresholds come from the institution that sets them — the banks' published terms, SARS, the Deeds Office and the Reserve Bank — cited where they are used.
Dated figures
Every figure carries its 'as at' date and every article shows when it was published and last verified. When a source changes, the figure, the pages that use it and the dates are updated together.
Plain English
We explain how things work — including the weak points of each lender's offering — and say 'not published' rather than guess.
